The KMX CEO departure caught my atention. Nash's exit right before the holiday season seems particulrly timed given the recent quater results. Usually when companies terminate leadership with such short notice, it signals either a signifcant strategic pivot or board dissatisfaction with current trajectory. Wonder if they're positioning for a potential sale or just cleaning house ahead of earnings season.
This one caught my eye as well. I wonder if he is just a casualty of the weakness in used cars, especially on the low end of the spectrum. He was with the company for nearly 10 years and the stock was down 43% during his tenure. Over the same time, AutoNation is up nearly 200%.
Excellent. I always enjoy reading this report.
I would also suggest purchasing and reading The Event-Driven Edge in Investing if you enjoy this report and Stack.
Glad to hear you like it! Thank you for recommending the book. Much appreciated!
